If the original can be certified that it was installed according to CSA C488 standard, then it should be acceptable. The question becomes: How do I certify? We will keep you up to date as more information is available. Below is a list of the current incentives available.

 

Federal ecoENERGY Rebate Program

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is once again rewarding homeowners for investing in energy-efficient geothermal heating and cooling with the ecoENERGY retrofit program. This returning program will give homeowners up to $4,375 to upgrade their current home comfort system to a geothermal heat pump system, like those made by WaterFurnace. As well, homeowners who are already taking advantage of the benefits of a geothermal heating system can upgrade to the latest technology and take advantage of a rebate up to $1,750. Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program

The Ontario Power Authority has created an incentive program for businesses looking to replace or upgrade any existing electric technologies. Incentives are available for pre-approved projects that result in a notable reduction in electrical peak demand.

 

Municipal
