Geothermal Rebates and Incentives
With the popularity of geothermal heating and cooling on the rise, new Government incentives are being brought forward to encourage homeowners to make the switch to geothermal.
Ontario Provincial Rebates: This Home Energy Retrofit Program provides up to $5000 for home energy retrofits, and extends the RST and PST rebates on qualifying geothermal equipment to January 1, 2010.
Cool Savings Rebate: The Ontario Power Authority’s Cool Savings Rebate Program provides an opportunity to reduce Ontario’s electricity consumption, while saving money. The Ontario Power Authority will rebate up to $750 for the installation of retrofit EnergyStar geothermal systems.
ecoEnergy Rebate: Natural Resources Canada is offering a new residential energy efficiency assessment service where property owners can qualify for federal grants by improving the energy efficiency of their homes.
