
FOR ALL MODELS: Always unplug the unit before proceeding. DO NOT USE on horizontal models with electrical compartment located inside the unit or on vertical models with wires already connected on position 5 and/or 7 in connector J1.
For horizontal models, with electrical compartment located either on right or left side of the unit.
FLAT COMPARTMENT MODEL:
- Unscrew and lift the cover away from the electrical compartment.

- Disconnect J1 and J4 connectors.
- Unplug all wires from J3 connector.

- Remove the screw retaining the green ground wire to the cover.

- Bring the cover toward the unit (A) and slide it sideway to remove it (B).

- Fasten the relay with the 2 screws included.

- Connect the brown and gray wires to J1 connector as shown in diagram 1 at the bottom of this page.
- Remove the plastic cap and make an incision.

- Thread the other relay wires through the hole and the plastic cap.
- Put the plastic cap back in place and secure the wires using the anchor.

- Put the cover back in place.
- Screw back the ground wire to the cover and reconnect all wires and connectors.
- Close the electrical compartment.
THICK COMPARTMENT MODEL:
- Unscrew 2 screws retaining the electrical compartment cover and remove it.

- Remove the plastic cap and make an incision.

- Fasten the relay with the 2 screws included.
- Connect the brown and gray wires to J1 connector as shown in diagram 1 at the bottom of this page.
- Thread the other relay wires through the hole and the plastic cap.
- Put the plastic cap back in place and secure the wires using the anchor.

- Close the electrical compartment.

ALL MODELS
After turning off the electrical power to the furnace, proceed to wire the thermostat and furnace according to diagram 1 at the bottom of the page.
For vertical models, with electrical compartment located inside the unit.
- Remove the door panel, filters and the heat recovery core.
- Unscrew the screw retaining the electrical compartment cover and remove it.
- Unplug and remove the switch from the electrical compartment casing.

- Fasten the relay with the 2 screws included.

- Connect the brown and gray wires to J1 connector as shown in diagram 1 at the bottom of this page.
- Remove the plastic cap located on cabinet, near the power cord, and make an incision.

- Thread the other relay wires through the hole and the plastic cap.
- Put the plastic cap back in place.

- Reinstall the switch on casing and plug back its wires.
- Close the electrical compartment.
- Reinstall the heat recovery core, filters and the door panel.
- After turning off the electrical power to the furnace, proceed to wire the thermostat and furnace according to diagram 1 below.

ONCE THE WIRING COMPLETED
Turn on the electrical power to the furnace, plug the ventilation unit and verify if the relay is working properly.
When the ventilation unit is ON, the furnace blower should operate. If not, recheck each wire connection carefully.
