Eden Energy Equipment is excited to welcome back Robert Bean, industry leading expert on building sciences to our Training Facility in Guelph. We are hosting this exclusive one-day ASHRAE 55 Building Science class in Guelph on December 7th, 2017. This will not be your regular “off the shelf” building science training material and is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the industry's best trainers.

Whether you are new to designing systems or a seasoned professional Robert Bean will introduce you to new concepts and tools that will help enhance your projects.

During the opening morning session, Robert Bean will introduce you to the key factors for indoor environmental quality including the human factors in thermal comfort; and why building performance, interior finishes and HVAC systems types matter. As well Robert will dive deep into three new tools which are important for designing systems that properly address thermal comfort and environmental quality.

All attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop. Throughout the day you will be introduced to critical new software tools ending the day with a case study component where we will review projects and how these tools can be used to improve real world projects.

All participants will leave with a free copy of the software programs that will be used during the course.

Who is Robert Bean? Robert Bean, R.E.T., P.L. (Eng.), is a registered engineering technologist in building construction and a professional licensee in mechanical engineering. He is president of Indoor Climate Consulting Inc. and director of www.healthyheating.com. Bean is a past ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer and recipient of ASHRAE’s Lou Flagg Award.

Currently, he serves on ASHRAE Standing Standard Project Committee 55 Thermal Environmental Conditions for Human Occupancy; Technical Committee 6.1 Hydronic & Steam Heating Equipment and Systems; Technical Committee 6.5 Radiant Heating and Cooling Systems; and Technical Committee 7.4 Exergy Analysis for Sustainable Buildings. Bean also is a special expert on IAPMO’s new Uniform Solar Energy and Hydronics Code committee. He has developed and teaches numerous courses related to the business and engineering of buildings, indoor climates and hybrid HVAC systems.
